"Supergirl" introducirá al icónico archi-enemigo de Superman, Lex Luthor, en su cuarta temporada como personaje recurrente.

Lex Luthor ha probado ser un formidable adversario durante décadas y ahora la búsqueda para encontrar a un actor que interprete al clásico villano de DC está en marcha. Los productores ejecutivos Robert Rovner y Jessica Queller han hecho un comunicado conjunto sobre la inminente llegada del villano y han apuntado a lo que podemos esperar cuando se reúna con su hermana Lena Luthor:

“Estamos más que emocionados por introducir al icónico villano, Lex Luthor, en Supergirl y el meterlo en nuestra historia en esta temporada. Hemos hablado sobre el tener a Lex en la serie desde su nacimiento y estamos emocionados por tener finalmente su llegada. No podemos esperar a que sacuda las cosas en National City y verle ir mano a mano no sólo con Supergirl, sino con su hermana Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath).

“Somos lo suficientemente afortunados para tener la oportunidad de usarle en esta temporada, y él se entreteje en la gran historia de Lena que estamos contando esta temporada, así es que pienso que es una buena oportunidad para tenerle, y le habríamos dado la bienvenida en cualquier momento-”

Finalmente vamos a ver aparecer a un familiar de James Olsen en "Supergirl". Azie Tesfai (Jane The Virgin) va a ser recurrente en la Season 4 como 'Kelly Olsen', la hermana del icónico personaje de DC Olsen, interpretado por Mehcad Brooks. Kelly es una mujer inteligente y profunda que pasó tiempo en la orden militar para pagar la escuela de medicina. Recientemente ha sido dada de baja del ejército y está actualmente terminando su entrenamiento como psiquiatra. Tiene un gran corazón y se preocupa profundamente por los demás.

En la Season 3, Kara (Melissa Benoist) lucha con los sacrificios que ha hecho y si debería dejar su identidad humana mientras que sigue luchando contra las amenazas a National City, incluyendo los nuevos villanos Morgan Edge (Adrian Pasdar), y la “Worldkiller,” conocida como Reign (Odette Annable).
