- Dolph Lundgren regresará a "Arrow" para múltiples episodios:

Seeing as though Oliver Queen went missing for five-years after a life-changing shipwreck and the show is currently in its fifth season, Arrow producers decided this season to wrap up the flashback sequences — a storytelling device that has explained how the billionaire playboy transformed into a hero.

During the inaugural season, Oliver learned how to survive on a hostile island, fight with his hands, and use a bow from Yao Fei and Slade Wilson. And while he has had other mentors since then, it is the former that connects him to his latest mentor: Talia al Ghul. She revealed to Oliver, earlier this season, that she took interest in him after seeing him don the hood of Yao Fei, who was a student of hers.

Our own Brandon Davis partook in an interview with Lexa Doig earlier today and asked: "What do you think Talia brings to Oliver's training that his previous mentors haven't?"

"I think what Talia is bringing to Oliver is the whole idea of an alter ego," Doig shared with ComicBook.com. "What I thought was interesting — that isn't necessarily established through the writing, but what I thought would make kind of a little bit more of an interesting choice for me to play as an actor — when I was looking at some of the old episodes of Arrow where you meet Ra's and you meet Nyssa, is that they operate on the periphery of society, in the shadows. The League of Assassins and everything. But to me, it was a far more interesting choice to place Talia, at least mentally, in the real world as well. You're just as likely to see her sitting in a boardroom, orchestrating a hostile takeover of a corporation, as you are in leather, firing arrows at people and slicing someone across the neck. And that's kind of what she is teaching Oliver to do, right? To have almost a split identity. Or, to separate the vigilante part of himself, that hero part of himself, from how he has to live in the real world. And I think that is why it's a good final step for him before he goes back to Starling City is for someone like Talia to help guide him in that way."

In the promo for Arrow Season 5 episode 16, “Checkmate,” Talia clarifies to Oliver Prometheus is Adrian Chase. But according to Lexa Doig, who plays Talia Al Ghul on Arrow, there’s no telling whose side her character is on, in present day or the flashbacks.

The whole situation of Oliver not yet knowing Talia is an Al Ghul, the realization she also trained Adrian Chase, and Chase now turning out to be Prometheus, a costumed vigilante (of sorts) just like The Hood, is quite suspicious. “There’s clearly something going on there,” I told Doig in a recent interview.

“A little bit suspicous, yeah. Yes, there is,” Doig told iDigitalTimes. “The thing about Talia is she lives in the grey zone of morality. She’s not specifically always on the side of good or always on the bad. She’s more neutral in alignment. What she’s most concerned about is what she wants.”

Talia’s true intentions with Oliver remain unclear. While helping Oliver in the flashbacks seems like a good thing so far, there may be more to her agenda than she lets on.

“If what she wants to accomplish as an end result ends up being a good thing, then yay, but if what she wants to accomplish ends up being not such a good thing for a lot of people, I don't think she really cares. The ends always justifies the means to her.”

Talia is training Oliver to be the killer we first met in Star City during Season 1. It took him years to come to terms with that portion of his life and hasn’t spoken at all about Talia and his training in Russia until now. We don’t know how their relationship left off (though we have our theories). Aside from Talia’s brief appearance on Legends of Tomorrow as a child, the first time Oliver mentioned her on Arrow was when he noticed Prometheus’ special move. He has no idea who she actually is or it would have come up by now.

In photos from “Checkmate,” Talia is seen in what looks to be present day, dressed in all black with men wearing the same outfits surrounding her. Doig held back from spoiling me about what’s going on in that photo, but assured me, “A couple things will be revealed next week.”

The fifth season of Arrow has introduced one of the most fearsome villains of the DC Comics Universe, Talia al Ghul (Lexa Doig), to the Arrowverse. Oliver Queen’s struggle with Ra’s al Ghul and his family and legacy has been well documented, but what wasn’t known until recently is that the daughter of the demon helped train Oliver to become the Arrow.

However, executive producer Mark Guggenheim says that Oliver’s former mentor isn’t done with him yet. “We will see her in the present day,” Guggenheim teased to Entertainment Weekly. “What she wants from Oliver in the past is very different from what she wants from him in the present.”

For the time being, Oliver is unaware of Talia’s distinguished lineage because Oliver never learned Talia’s last name. “Oliver couldn’t have heard it, because if he had, when Ra’s talked about his daughter he’d be like, ‘Yeah, the other daughter, I met her back in Russia,'” Guggenheim says. “We were very cognizant not to retcon anything. So yes, she is Talia al Ghul, but Oliver obviously doesn’t know that.”

Something tells us that Oliver’s blissful ignorance may come to an end, and soon.

In the next episode of Arrow, titled "Checkmate," Oliver (Stephen Amell) gets closer to the truth about Prometheus. Meanwhile, Helix refuses to continue helping Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) until she does a favor for them.

Arrow airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.

Por Natalie Abrams - 14 Marzo, 2017 at 7:07pm EDT

Arrow‘s big bad has been hiding under Oliver’s nose this whole season.

The most recent episode of Arrow revealed that Star City District Attorney Adrian Chase (Josh Segarra) is actually the ruthless villain known as Prometheus, also known as the Throwing Star Killer, but not known as Vigilante, despite his comic book origins. We already know how Oliver will react to the news, but what’s Chase’s next move? EW turned to Segarra to get the scoop:

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Did you know from the beginning that you were actually Prometheus?
JOSH SEGARRA: Clarify beginning. [Laughs.] When I first spoke to Marc [Guggenheim] and Wendy [Mericle], they described who I was going to be. I really can’t remember if they mentioned the name Prometheus or not in that first conversation. I remember hearing the name throughout, but I didn’t associate that with my character. I don’t know why I didn’t. You’re waiting to get to work, and you’re waiting to see a post online that says you’re joining the cast, and it says “Vigilante.” Then, when I read that, I go, “Interesting, okay, okay, I didn’t know I was going to play this guy. That’s pretty fun.” That’s when I did all my nerdy stuff that I take a lot of pride in and did my reading. I spoke with Marc or Wendy where I was telling them about how I’m reading up on Vigilante and Chase, and they’re like, “Oh, yeah, oh, okay, we have to explain something to you…” “Oh, got it! That makes a lot of sense now. I feel like you guys would’ve told me this, right?” “Yes, sorry!” Thankfully we got to have, as much as we could, an in-depth conversation about who Prometheus is going to be, who they wanted him to be, and what I thought I could bring to the table. So that all started permeating very early on before I got out here to Vancouver. Honestly, I’ve gotten clarity on who he was throughout the journey, as well. That’s what’s been fun about him is that I’m truly creating him with the writers of the show, and the people are creating him with me. I’ve had the benefit of having some smart folk take care of me along the way, and it’s been a pretty fun process, introducing this guy to the world; it’s been very cool.

Can you talk a bit about what motivates him, because Chase is basically doing everything he hates Oliver for?
Absolutely. There’s a fire inside of him that has been fun to explore. What motivates anybody to do anything? Why do you grab a bite to eat? Because you’re hungry. But this is a much bigger thing. Why did this guy end up in the mayor’s office next to this mayor? How long has this plan been in motion? That’s what’s been fun to play. That’s where you don’t know when he started, you don’t know when this plan all started, you don’t really know why isn’t he trying to kill him right now? Why didn’t Chase try to kill him a long time ago? That’s a cool little secret nugget that I get to keep inside. So what motivates him? I think you’re going to see that play out a little bit more. Chase is going to give a lot of clarity to that soon. That’s going to be a lot of fun to watch.

What is Chase’s ultimate goal with Oliver? Just to watch his life crumble to pieces?
Oh, absolutely. I think it’s just to burn the world around him. All the things he’s trying to bring to light in Oliver, you see those qualities in him. What drives him is to maybe watch it crumble around him, to play the game, to play the chess match, to put him in checkmate, [laughs] which is [the title of the episode] this week. I hope you dig it this week, where he looks at him like, “Hey man, I got you, now what?” and then we get to watch Oliver respond.

Chase has kidnapped Susan (Carly Pope). Is she just a bargaining chip so Oliver doesn’t kill him? And should we be worried about other people in Oliver’s life?
One, yes, it is a bargaining chip. I think you nailed it right on the head. He knows that she matters to Oliver. Chase knows that Susan matters, and that’s the move. You take the people who matter most, right? It’s Chase going, “Hey man, I know that you care about her, so I’m going to take her.” Two, I think that’s also the move that goes, “Hey, I know that you’ve been seeing Susan, and I got her, but I also know everybody else that you’re close with. I’m not just here, I’m everywhere else.” That has been fun to play with with Stephen. I’m a big fan of his and a big fan of the show, so I’m trying to take the things that I enjoy and put them into the show as well. I’m trying to take things that I’ve seen and be like, “Hey man, let’s do this.” This week, you watch that permeate with these guys and see that Chase is coming for Oliver.

Does Chase think he’ll survive all this? Or was he going in basically with a death wish?
I wouldn’t call it a death wish, but I think this is the most important thing to him. What drives this man? If you allow fogginess to get in the way of what your end goal is, you won’t achieve it, right? That’s what Chase is doing. He’s playing this game, and he has the checkmate in his brain, and he knows how he’s going to get there, and we get to watch if this man gets there. So, is it a death wish? No way. But if he were to die, I think he’s okay with that, because this is the fire, this is what he’s been planning for years, this is the endgame, this is the goal, and he’s going to win it. That’s what drives him: He’s going to win.

What kind of connection does Chase have with Talia (Lexa Doig)? It seems she also trained him. To what end?
I do know that they have history, because she trained him. She knows who he is. To be honest with you, I don’t really know the answer to what extent their relationship will be on the show. I know what I’ve created in my head is that she has history with this man, and there’s a reason why she says to Oliver, “He calls himself Adrian Chase.” I know those reasons that I had to find for myself as an actor, so I don’t want to muddy the waters. But, to that regard, I know there’s history, and she trained Chase. She gave him certain skill sets that Oliver possesses. You’re going to have a good time watching how that plays out, the skill set at least. That’s an exciting part of this for me because that’s the little boy in me — that I got to come out here, and I got to train with the bow and arrow, and I got to work on some combat stuff. Those are all things that he got from Talia.

Were you in the costume at the beginning of the season or just recently?
I was. Oh yes, I was. I’ve been in it from the very beginning. There have been parts of course that I give a lot of love to my [stunt double]. He kills it for me. That’s my dude right there, because he’s creating this guy with me, and he’s really important to me. There are definitely times where he’s killing in that suit, and I sit off to the side, and I watch my man do his thing, I watch him do something I respect a ton. But from the very beginning, I made it very clear, and I was very happy that they embraced it with open arms, that I would love to play in the suit. That’s an important part of me to this character. I want to do as much as I can, because everything when he’s in the suit, Chase is exploring something that makes him who he is out of that suit, and that’s important to me to craft this guy. I wanted to do all of him. I wanted to create this man so that I could introduce him to the world. I’ve been very fortunate, everyone from the editors down to the crew, everyone is taking care of this guy. I’m blessed to do it, because it’s been very cool.

Is there anything you can tease of Chase’s endgame?
He’s coming for this guy, he’s coming for him, that’s all I can say. Chase wants to watch the world around Oliver crumble, he just wants to watch it crumble.

Arrow airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.

- Prometheus sobre su Vendetta contra Oliver Queen (CBR):
Prometheus sobre su Vendetta contra Oliver Queen
Por Bryan Cairns 15/03/17

“Arrow” recently revealed the identity of this season’s major villain, Prometheus, to be none other than Adrian Chase, aka Star City’s district attorney. It turns out, Chase has been harboring a personal vendetta against Oliver Queen since the Hood killed someone close to him. Over time, Chase earned Oliver’s respect and trust, all while collecting intel on the the young mayor’s inner circle.

Throughout the season, Prometheus/Chase’s attacks kept intensifying and becoming more and more personal. In his determination to destroy Oliver, Prometheus went so far as to kidnap Green Arrow’s girlfriend, Susan, determined to make Oliver suffer as much as he has.

Ahead of the next stage of Prometheus’ master plan, CBR spoke with actor Josh Segarra about what he feels makes his bad guy tick, and his plans for Oliver Queen and Team Arrow.

CBR: Prometheus went to great lengths to keep his identity a secret. What does he gain by revealing it to Oliver now?

Josh Segarra: I don’t know if he necessarily planned to reveal it to Oliver, and I really don’t know the answer to that. I do know he wanted to make sure that when his identity was revealed, that every piece was in place. That’s what mattered to him, just going, “Okay. I’m going to make sure that this happens and this happens because at some point, they are going to figure out who I am. Cool. When that happens, I’m going to make sure all they can do is come and try me. At that point, let’s go. All the pieces are in place.”

Why does Prometheus seem feel psychological warfare is more effective than physical pain?

Because the heart is a vulnerable thing, right? That’s one piece that you see played with Susan. Why does Chase kidnap Susan? Because he knows that she matters to Oliver. He knows that Oliver cares about her, so Chase knows he can get to the heart.

And, let’s state the obvious thing here, too. We’re all fans of the show. We are all fans of Oliver Queen and of Stephen [Amell]. That guy is a beast. He’s fast and strong. I would not mess with that guy on a rainy day. I’m happy that he’s on my team. So, when it comes to Chase and Oliver, I quickly realized, “We’re going to be able to come back in these costumes, but what matters is the chess game that we are going to play. That’s where you know you can win, right? That’s where you at least have a chance.” That’s where Chase knows he can get this guy. He wants to watch the world around Oliver crumble. That’s what matters. Not necessarily killing him, although that’s definitely in the back of Chase’s brain somewhere.

What matters to Chase is to make Oliver see what his world is through Chases’ eyes, of course, having his father killed by the Green Arrow. He’s trying to make it clear. He’s saying, “I’m going to burn everything around you, and you’re just going to have to watch it.”

What is Chase’s feelings towards the rest of Team Arrow? Are they a means to an end, collateral damage?

What’s been fun to watch is their chemistry build, to watch the team assemble. Chase is watching the team and he’s going, “Oh, okay. I know that Diggle matters. I know that Felicity matters. But now we have this guy Wild Dog. Oh, we’ve got this new Black Canary. Interesting. We’ve got Ragman.” He’s starting to piece these things together, all pieces that matter because they matter to Oliver.

I love the scenes when I get in a room with Thea and Oliver, because it’s his sister. I love my sister in real life. She’s a very important woman in my life. So to watch these moments, where now you know who this guy is – and he’s been so close to them. He’s been in their trust circle. Chase has been looking at all the people in Oliver’s life that matter and he knows that he’s going to use those pieces along the way.

Where does Evelyn fit into Chase’s masterplan?

I’ve always been fascinated with watching Prometheus and you wonder, “Who’s that guy? Who’s the guy behind the mask?” Now you know it’s Chase, but you’re wondering, “Who’s the guy behind the suit? Now that you know what he’s been doing this whole time, who’s the guy behind the suit?”

Then you see he has a relationship with Evelyn. You wonder, too, “Where does she fit into all of this?” To be honest with you, I don’t have a great answer to that. I can tell you what me and Madison [McLaughlin] have done along the way, which is, Chase is a chess player. At the end of the day, he’s still in control of each situation. He still knows this could result in two to three different ways, but he’s going to be ready for each one.

Madison is coming at it from her way, so I can’t answer for her. I know the relationship that he has is a pointed relationship. There’s a reason for it. Evelyn has a great skill set that I can use in my masterplan. To Chase, she’s a piece of that puzzle that he knows he’s lucky to have, and lucky that she’s partaking in it.

How much will audiences learn about Chase’s history and how he became Prometheus?

I hope a lot. I hope you get to find out more of how this guy came to be. You’ve met his wife. You know that he has a wife and a family. You wonder how that plays in. These are all things that I hope people can see this week, and next week, and the week after. We are going to start seeing who Chase is. I know him very well, so I’m excited for you guys to get to know what drives him.

Prometheus manipulated Oliver into killing Felicity’s boyfriend. Ever since then, she’s been hellbent on taking him down. Can viewers expect some kind of confrontation between the two?

I hope so. Let me tell you the real-life answer: We haven’t had any interactions between Chase and Felicity. You haven’t seen too many interactions outside of the ones with Diggle and Chase. I love those scenes inside the prison where I got to help him.

The real-life answer is, yeah, I sure hope so because Emily [Bett Rickards] is the bomb. She brings such a great color to the show. Felicity is such a cool character. I’m excited to see how they are finally going to bring Chase and Felicity together. I’m very excited about that. The scenes I’ve done with Paul Blackthorne, watching Lance and Chase, are cool energies to balance out on screen. I want to act with everybody on the show.

The synopsis for the following episode, “Kapiushon,” states “Prometheus goes to great lengths to break Oliver.” How does he ramp up his efforts?

When Chase discovers Oliver knows who he is, there’s a relief in him. “Good, we’re past that. Now, you know what I’m doing here. Great. Let’s wrestle.” With that relief comes liberation and when you see this man get liberated, he does ramp things up. You are going to see exactly how. I hate to give you that vanilla answer, but it’s the truth. You are going to see the other side of this man. I’ve been waiting to peel that top off a little bit, juts to show a different color. It’s going to happen soon. I promise. You are going to see him ramp up the efforts.

Josh Segarra sobre el interpretar a Prometheus

After spending much of Season 5's "Arrow" supporting Mayor Oliver Queen, and helping Diggle, it certainly seemed like there was a stark contrast between lawyer Adrian Chase and recently-revealed alter-ego Prometheus.

But, Josh Segarra, who plays Adrian/Prometheus confirmed there's definitely no supernatural twist to his character. All of Adrian's seemingly good deeds are part of his revenge plot to take Oliver Queen down.

"I think that it's all part of the plan," Josh told AccessHollywood.com. "You wonder, right, when Chase started thinking about this. You wonder like, 'Dang, has this guy really been thinking about it for that long? And my answer as Josh is, 'Yeah.' This started a long time ago for him, when he lost his dad. It started then. So, that was all part of making sure that he went under the radar.

"When I saw the Prometheus mask, I had to answer for myself, 'Why did this guy choose a mask, right?' … And I think the answer to that, for me, was because he can be unhinged behind the mask, he can be the fire that's burning inside. He can let that go full force and that's what he had to kind of always keep the lid on as Chase," Josh added. "Prometheus influences Chase, and Chase influences Prometheus. It's the same guy, so he's living in two sides of himself."

When Chase offered himself up as the scapegoat for the Mayor's Office cover-up scandal, it was just another push he was giving Oliver, to make a decision Chase/Prometheus wanted.

"Chase is trying to throw himself under the bus. He does it a lot. 'Hey man, use me. It's OK, use me.' It's all part of the plan, because I know who this man is and I know that he's let me in, and he's taking care of the people around him so much.I see [that]," Josh said. " knew in the end he'd throw himself under the bus. … But, I bet when he [Oliver did do that, by telling the media Green Arrow has gone rogue], Chase goes, 'OK, good. That went well. OK, on to the next one. Step 6 -- check. Thank goodness,'" Josh recounted, explaining things from character's perspective.

Throughout the season, there's been a wildcard in the mix – the yet-unmasked Vigilante – who also has it out for Oliver Queen. Last time Prometheus met Vigilante, he shot him off a roof.

"I am just so excited when I get to see Viglante pop up again because that guy's a badass," Josh said.

It was only recently revealed that Josh is playing Prometheus, but many, including Josh himself, assumed at the start of the season, that he was Adrian Chase, lawyer by day, Vigilante by night.

"Vigilante has been a big part of this journey for me, obviously. The comic book character influenced a lot of who Prometheus is [both] literally and figuratively. There was a point where, for about nine days, I thought I was playing this guy Vigilante. So, I read all the comics … I did as much research as I could, so he's going to influence him," Josh said. "And then, of course, I get the name Adrian Chase, I get that mantle, so I'm now getting to take from Prometheus, from Vigilante, and from Adrian Chase. I get three characters that are in the cannon; I get three characters that I get to pull from. That's fantastic. I get to take all these pieces of these guys."

"Arrow" continues Wednesday at 8/7c on The CW.

Arrow's big bad has finally been revealed -- but that doesn't mean he won't be toying with Oliver and company for a while longer, according to actor Josh Segarra, who plays Adrian Chase -- recently revealed as the villain Prometheus.

The actor, who has known since before the season started that he would eventually become Prometheus, didn't know how or when the reveal would come, and has had to spend a lot of his season trying to build subtle hints into his performance that he hopes will reward viewers on the rewatch.

“When I read the script with the reveal in it, I was really pleased because I didn’t want to leave the reveal of who Prometheus was to some big, climactic ending, you know?” Segarra told ComicBook.com. “I didn’t know how I wanted it to happen, to be honest, and I trust the writers. They have truly given me so much fun to play with along the way and I’ve gotten to explore the character so much. I read it and I saw that it was after a fight with Vigilante, which I loved, because of the journey that we’ve had with Vigilante. He’s in a fight, and then all of a sudden he turns around, pops the mask off, and you see who it is; you see that he’s Chase. And that was in, what? Minute 32 of the episode? Then you go, ‘Hey, there’s about 28 minutes left in this show! What’s going to happen?’ And when that lid gets to be popped off the can, that’s a whole different type of fun, it's a whole different type of color I get to paint with.”

The palette he's using is going to be changing, of course: in the trailers for this week's episode, fans have seen that Talia al Ghul will "out" Chase to Oliver Queen as Prometheus. This means Team Arrow will finally be on something of a more even footing with Chase...at least they think.

“Everything that’s been moving, every piece that he’s played, everything that he has done, has been in preparation of the day that everyone found out who he was,” the actor explained. “At some point, he knew they were going to figure out who the guy was. So Chase has decided each step, and with each step, he’s like ‘These three different things could happen,’ ‘These five things could happen, and if this one happens, we’re going to go here, and if this one happens we’re going to go here.’ Them finding out who Chase is, is all part of it. He knew it was coming and he just wanted to make sure that the table was set and the dinner was hot and ready so that when they come for him, it’s ready.”

In the next episode of Arrow, titled "Checkmate," Oliver (Stephen Amell) gets closer to the truth about Prometheus. Meanwhile, Helix refuses to continue helping Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) until she does a favor for them.

Two weeks ago, “Arrow” answered the season-long question “Who is Prometheus?” with the shocking reveal that it was Star City district attorney Adrian Chase (Josh Segarra).

The reveal happened for no one but the audience, and the episode ended with Chase using his continued anonymity to kidnap Oliver’s (Stephen Amell) ex-girlfriend, journalist Susan Williams (Carly Pope). Variety spoke with Segarra about playing D.A. Chase vs Prometheus Chase, what’s in store for Susan, and more.

How different is Chase the D.A. and Chase as Prometheus? Is he more unhinged as Prometheus?

When he has that mask on I think he allows himself to go — to use the word you used — unhinged. As the actor, I’d see the suit, the mask, the hood, the weaponry, and I’d think what each of these things mean. We’ve seen these things throughout the season. We’ve seen Prometheus — not as Chase in a suit — but with his blades … I feel like both sides influence the other. The Prometheus side is unhinged. It’s full combat. And the other side — as Chase in the office — that man is also here to cause trouble. But you don’t know he’s here to cause trouble.

It looks like more people will be learning Prometheus’ identity this week. Is this by his design?

They do figure out who Prometheus is. If you’re asking me if I think every move Chase makes is on purpose, and everything is playing out exactly as he wants it to, my answer is yes. All of these steps have been made already in his brain, and he’s seen seven different ways they could result. Finding out his identity was inevitable, but for Chase what matters is making sure all the pieces are in place so when that unmasking is revealed, it doesn’t matter.

It’s been mentioned before that Prometheus has no interest in killing Oliver; he just wants to destroy his life. Is there a point where he’ll think Oliver’s life has been sufficiently ruined?

I think the game that’s going on is what drives Chase. Him being in control of every turn that this takes matters to Chase. It’s making sure that Oliver see’s the world around him crumble. The name Prometheus says who this guy is … he stole the powers from the gods. That’s something that Chase is doing. He’s trying to show Oliver that he can control, and take what Oliver thinks is his. When he takes Susan, it’s him going ‘I know she matters to you so I’m going to take her.’

So there’s no big plan for taking Susan? He just does it to prove that he can?

When Chase takes Susan he’s doing it just so Oliver finds out he’s taken Susan. What happens after that, we’ll see.

“Arrow” airs on the CW on Wednesdays at 8 p.m.

When Arrow unveiled the identity of this season's mysterious big bad, Prometheus, just a few weeks ago, it took many fans by surprise.

Aside from the fact that it had been assumed that Adrian Chase (Josh Segarra) was really living a double life as his comic book counterpart Vigilante, some questioned were Chase's villainous motivation had come from.

According to Segarra, hints of the connection between the two identities were actually pretty apparent in the show, starting with Chase's very first scene.

“The first time you meet Chase, he comes into the mayor’s office and it’s business." Segarra explains exclusively to ComicBook.com. "He says 'We've actually met a few years ago, you tried to pick up my girlfriend,' and Oliver says 'Those were different times. She definitely left with the better man that night,' and Chase says 'Actually, she went home with you', and we laugh about it. Oliver tries to apologize and Chase goes, 'That’s okay, I don’t hold grudges.' You go back to watch that now and you’re like 'Not only has this dude been holding a grudge, he’s designing a grudge piece by piece, and it all started a long time ago.'"

Of course, Chase's hatred of Oliver stems far beyond that chance encounter, as Chase's father was allegedly murdered by Oliver - then known as 'The Hood' - as part of Oliver's list four years prior. Segarra held on to that duality throughout his performance in earlier episodes.

“At all times, I was thinking about who this guy is on the inside, who this guy is behind that mask when see him in. Who Prometheus is, is who he gets to be unhinged. He’s hiding; he can be monstrous, and he needs to be that way so that when you see him in his Armani, he can be business. He can be the mind.”

While Segarra initially was in the dark about which villain he was actually playing, he quickly learned to embrace the secretive nature of Prometheus.

"I came in from the very beginning, knowing that at some point we were going to know who this man was." Segarra explains. "So I knew that I could introduce pieces of him along the way. I want to make sure that along the way, when it finally happens, you can look back and say ‘Oh, I didn’t see that color then, but holy cow, now I see it this way.’ I didn’t want to play a bad guy, quote-unquote. I wanted to play a human that felt very strongly about certain things and had a very clear intention. It aids in you designing who this person is. It aids in you introducing him because you go ‘okay, now I’m going to show you this, and now I’m going to let you in on this.'"

Por Natalie Abrams - 15 Marzo, 2017 at 9:00pm EDT

Warning: This story contains spoilers from Wednesday’s episode of Arrow. Read at your own risk!

Though Susan Williams started off the season on a rough note, she’s become invaluable to Oliver — which was proven during Wednesday’s episode of Arrow.

After Susan (Carly Pope) was kidnapped by Adrian Chase (Josh Segarra), Oliver (Stephen Amell) was determined to get his girlfriend back. After all, they had just recently reached a great place where she even knew he was the Green Arrow and was willing to keep his secret.

It’s certainly a change from the beginning of the season when Susan was all too willing to dupe Thea (Willa Holland) into providing her with information that she then used against Oliver as mayor. Plus, Susan spent a bulk of the season digging into Oliver’s ties to Russia, so for all he knew, Susan could’ve been working with Adrian. How has Oliver come to trust her so explicitly?

“We’ve all seen the evil reporter,” Amell tells EW. “I thought that it was much more interesting that we see the evil reporter who takes advantage of someone and takes advantage of a mayor who she thinks, possibly rightly so, is unqualified, then gets to know him better, begins to appreciate his love for the city and has a change of heart. I always thought that that was way more interesting than just she’s out to get him, she’s keeping close proximity for the simple reason of eventually outing him and destroying his life.”

Still, Oliver believes Susan truly isn’t out to get him, even though he’s basically lied to her from the start. “He’s never been the best at confiding in people and to say that he’s trusting her and letting her in, I don’t really know how he’s doing that,” Amell says. “He tells her half-truths all the time, and despite the fact that she might know a little bit more than he realizes, I feel like they hit it off a little bit. Oliver putting his trust in Susan Williams, he’s proven right over the course of these episodes because she came into some information, and he even says to Thea, ‘She won’t do that to me,’ in terms of ousting me as the Green Arrow.”

However, Amell understands it’s only natural for long-time fans of Arrow to distrust anyone new who comes into Oliver’s life as the Berlanti-verse shows tend to instill a sense of wariness. “That’s right,” Amell says. “So maybe Susan is the exception to that rule.”

Arrow airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
