El alumno de "Will & Grace" Michael Angarano ha sido el elegido para aparecer en la S3 de "This Is Us" dando vida al personaje recurrente de 'Nicky Pearson', el hermano pequeño de 'Jack Pearson' (Milo Ventimiglia).

La tercera temporada del drama de la NBC tendrá flashbacks a las experiencias de Jack en la guerra de Vietnam, incluida la muerte de Nicky, aunque ésta no será la primera vez que hemos visto a Nicky en la serie, ya que lo hemos visto ya en otros flashbacks cuando era niño y también una foto nos ofreció un vistazo a su tiempo durante el que estuvo prestando servicio. Además en los últimos segundos de la S2, Kevin (Justin Hartley), junto con su nueva novia Zoe, estaban en un avión hacia Vietnam para saber más sobre el tiempo que su padre estuvo allí.

El creador de la serie Dan Fogelman comentó el mes pasado que la serie "ahondará profundamente" en la experiencia del patriarca Jack en Vietnam en esta temporada. Para ayudar a representar de forma fidedigna la guerra, la serie ha contado con el renombrado periodista de Vietnam y escritor Tim O’Brien (The Things They Carried) como consultor.

Ventimiglia reveló durante una entrevista en el "This Is Us FYC Emmy event" que se había reunido con Angarano ese mismo día para tener una sesión sobre la historia familiar de Jack y Nicky:

"Tuve un desayuno con él esta mañana. Le di alguna historia familiar. Es un ferozmente talentoso actor y le conozco desde hace mucho tiempo así es que estamos emocionados por tenerle."

Angarano actualmente aparece en la serie de Showtime "I’m Dying Up Here", que terminó su segunda temporada el mes pasado. Entre sus otros trabajos figuran también "Sun Dogs" y "In A Relationship".

"This Is Us" regresa con nuevos episodios el Martes, 23 de Septiembre a las 9/8c.
