Huesario.

Once again I had the pleasure of visiting Vancouver. I still can´t believe it but I saw Tom about 20 times.

Let´s start chronologically. My first sighting occurred at VanTech High where they shot part of Homecoming. A local pap has already posted photos from these scenes, which to my chagrine took place just the day before I arrived. Still, I had the pleasure of seeing Tom on the second day. They were shooting a ball scene in the gymnasium. It was a hot day, and as I heard there were about 40 centrigrades inside because for filming they shut off air conditioning and put on the spotlights. Then with a hundred people inside it gets really hot.

By the way, it escapes me why they would use VanTech for Homecoming. This school was used only in the very first three episodes of Smallville in S1, then they moved to Templeton Secondary. So why not use the school we all know? Maybe they hope that nobody notices...

Anyway, after some time of watching around, Tom exited from one of the doors and went to the catering to grab something to eat. Although there was a line of crew and extras, he was of course served immediately. The privileges of the bigshots! After he got something to eat, a car picked him up and he was driven off.

And that was only my first sighting that day. In the later afternoon I was able to witness that scene when Erica and Tom were filmed entering the school main entrance. Regrettably, there was a security guy who kept the viewers from taking pictures, so I have none. It seemed though an Italian couple who was there too, managed to get two photos earlier (see HERE). In the scene I was able to watch, Tom and Erica used the right door. The filmed from inside, and Tom and Erica had to come in repeatedly. Never thought something simple like that would be filmed over and over again too.

Tom was indeed wearing his (long) shorts for rehearsal. (They ended below the knees, and he was wearing a black band about 10 cm above his left ankle, like a little pocket for keys or money or something. It looked very sexy.) Erica was already wearing her yellow dress when I saw this scene. Only for the final shooting did Tom put on jeans and the Crows jacket. Well, it was hot... And it was even hotter thanks to Tom´s presence!

The very next day I was able to watch a scene at the studios. Alas, the same security guy was there, preventing me from taking photos. It was a scene with Tom and James Marsters on a graveyard. It was all decorated like winter; a huge fan was blowing fake snow (in fact just white confetti). After each shot the make up ladies ran to Tom to brush off the confetti from his hair and body. (What a great job!) He was again wearing the blue-t with the Crows jacket on top. It seems that this season the blue-t is back heavily because I saw him only once in a dress shirt, all the other times just in the blue-t.

The highlight of it all was that after they finished the scene, Tom came walking out talking to some guy and passed by me at a distance of only 2.5m (7-8 feet). So I was able to catch a good look of his perfect features. I´m still drooling. The funny thing was this. When the security guy saw Tom walk out, he rushed over to stand next to me. Probably to keep me from jumping Tom. But of course I wouldn´t do that, and in particular not with a 6'3 guy who is into kickboxing like Tom. Well, it´s his job, but I am still pissed that I was unable to take a pic.

So much for today. Next time you get to see the helicopter scene of Homecoming. While others have already posted pics of the Daily Planet chopper, I had the added bonus of catching the actual filming of the scene with Tom!

Una vez más tuve el placer de visitar Vancouver. Aún no me lo puedo creer pero vi a Tom unas 20 veces.

Empecemos cronológicamente. La primera vez que lo vi ocurrió en el VanTech High donde rodaron parte de Homecoming. Un paparazzi local ya pa puesto fotos de esas escenas, que para mi desgracia se hiciron el día antes de que llegara. Aún así, tuve el placer de ver a Tom Welling el segundo día. Estaban rodando una escena de un baile en el gimnasio. Era un día caluroso, y oí que hacían unos 40 grados dentro porque para filmar tienen que apagar el aire acondicionado y encender los focos. Luego con unas cien personas dentro hace realmente calor.

De todas formas, se me escapa el por qué usan VanTech para Homecoming. Esta escuela se usó sólo para los primeros tres episodios de la temporada 1 de Smallville, y luego se trasladaron a la Templeton Secondary. ¿Por qué entonces no utilizar la ecuela que todos conocemos? Quizá esperan que nadie se de cuenta...

De todas formas, tras un tiempo de estar echando un vistazo, Tom salió de una de las puertas y fue hacia el catering para coger algo de comer. Aunque había una cola de personal y extras, por supuesto le sirvieron inmediatamente. ¡Los privilegios de los peces gordos! Después de que consiguiera algo de comer, un coche lo recogió y se lo llevaron.

Y ese fue sólo mi primer día. Al final de la tarde pude ver esa escena en la que Erica y Tom fueron filmados entrando por la entrada principal de la escuela. Lamentablemente, había un chico de seguridad que impedía a los espectadores el tomar fotos, así es que no tengo ninguna. Aunque parece que una pareja italiana que estaba allí, se las ingenió para tomar un par de fotos antes. En la escena que pude ver, Tom y Erica usaban la puerta de la derecha. Filmaban desde dentro, y Tom y Erica tenían que entrar repetidamente. Nunca pensé que algo tan simple como eso tendría que filmarse una y otra vez también.

Tom llevaba puesto sus pantalones (largos) de deporte en los descansos. (Le llegaban por debajo de las rodillas, y llevaba una banda negra de unos 10cm sobre su tobillo inquierdo, como si fuera un pequeño bolsillo para las llaves, el dinero o algo. Estaba muy sexy). Erica ya llevaba puesto su vestido amarillo cuando vi esa escena. Sólo para la toma final Tom se puso los vaqueros y la chaqueta de los Crows. Bueno, hacía calor... ¡Y hacía incluso más calor con la presencia de Tom!

El día siguiente pude ver una escena en los estudios. Así es que, el mismo chico de seguridad estaba allí, impidiendo que sacara fotos. Era una escena con Tom y James Marsters en un cementerio. Estaba todo decorado como si fuera invierno; un gran ventilador dispersaba nieve falsa (que en realidad era sólo confetti blanco). Tras cada toma las chicas de maquillaje corrían a quitarle a Tom el confetti del pelo y del cuerpo. (¿qué gran trabajo!) Llevaba puesto de nuevo la camiseta azul con la chaqueta de los Crows encima. Parece que esta temporada la camiseta azul está de vuelta porque lo vi sólo una vez con camisa, el resto de las veces sólo con la camiseta azul.

Lo mejor de todo fue que tras que acabaran la escena, Tom vino caminando hablando con un chico y pasó cerca de mí a una distancia de tan sólo unos 2.5m. Así es que puede echar una buena ojeada de sus perfectos rasgos. Todavía estoy babeando. Lo gracioso es esto. Cuando el chico de seguridad vio a Tom salir, corrió para ponerse junto a mí. Probablemente para evitar que saltara encima de Tom. Pero por supuesto yo no haría eso, y en particular no con un chico de 1.93 que boxea como Tom. Bueno, es su trabajo, pero aún me molesta que no fuera capaz de tomar uma foto.
