- Netflix anuncia 6 episodios adicionales para la S5 de "Lucifer":

TVLine ha anunciado que la quinta y última temporada de "Lucifer" ha sido significativamente expandida a un total de 16 episodios.

Previamente se había anunciado en Junio que el adiós de la serie policíaca supernatural iba a ser de tan sólo otros 10 episodios como lo fue su debut en Netflix de su S4.

Los Co-showrunners Ildy Modrovich y Joe Henderson dijeron del anuncio original de renovación, “Estamos tan increíblemente agradecidos a Netflix por … dejarnos terminar la historia de Lucifer en nuestros términos. Y lo más importante, queremos agradecerle a los fans por su increíble pasión y apoyo. ¡Lo mejor está por llegar!”

Pero cuando algunos fans empezaron fervientemente a pedir más temporadas más allá de la quinta, los productores emitieron un comunicado diciendo, “Aunque nos sentimos tan tristes como algunos de vosotros de que este viaje maravilloso esté llegando a su final, una lucha no cambiará las cosas ahora mismo. Pero hablamos con nuestros compañeros de Netflix y la Warner Bros, y todos deberíais saber que se ha puesto una TREMENDA consideración en tomar esta decisión.”

Tras emitirse durante tres temporadas en la FOX, Lucifer fue “rescatada” por Netflix tan sólo pocas semanas después de su cancelación. La Season 4 de 10 episodios encontró al diablo titular lidiando tanto con un inoportuno reverendo y con el regreso de su primera novia, Eva. La finale, sin desvelar nada para aquellos que aún no la habéis visto, creó muchas preguntas sobre cómo la serie seguiría adelante desde donde lo dejó.

Los showrunners le dijeron a TVLine que sabían la secuencia de apertura de la Season 5 “literalmente desde que empezamos la Season 4,” con Moldrovich añadiendo: “También tenemos otro juguete realmente divertido con el que jugar, que sabemos que va a ser un fran factor de guía en la Season 5, así es que estamos emocionados con eso también.”

Hoy se ha confirmado que Tricia Helfer regresará de nuevo durante la quinta y última temporada de la serie de Netflix "Lucifer", aunque esta vez no va a aparecer con el look sexy al que nos tenía acostumbrados en las S2 y S3.

Junto a la noticia se ha revelado la primera imagen oficial del regreso del personaje que podéis ver a continuación:

La última vez que vimos al personaje fue al final de la S3, cuando se sacrificó para salvar a Amenadiel.

Como se anunció en Julio, la última temporada de la serie se amplió de 10 (el número de episodios de su anterior temporada en Netflix) a 16.

La Season 4 terminó con Lucifer haciendo el último sacrificio dejando la Tierra para regresar y servir como el Rey del Infierno.

Los co-showrunners Ildy Modrovich y Joe Henderson comentaron que habían sabido cuál iba a ser la secuencia de apertura de la S5 “literalmente desde que empezamos la Season 4,” añadiendo: “También tenemos otro, juguete realmente divertido con el que jugar, que sabemos que va a ser un gran factor de guía en la Season 5 — así es que estamos emocionados con eso también.”

La fecha de estreno de la S5 de "Lucifer" aún no se ha anunciado, aunque sabemos que será en algún momento de la primera mitad del 2020.

Netflix dividirá la quinta y última temporada de "Lucifer" en dos segmentos de ocho episodios. Así, se emitirán los ocho primeros episodios, luego habrá un parón de duración aún indeterminada, y luego se emitirán los últimos ocho episodios, según informó la estrella de la serie Tom Ellis durante "The Kelly Clarkson Show".

Netflix amplió al númro de episodios de la quinta y última temporada de "Lucifer", añadiendo seis episodios más a la orden inicial, dejando la temporada con un total de 16 episodios. La decisión de añadir episodios adicionales se produjo por el pasional apoyo de los fans, la misma base de fans que consiguió que la serie se renovara en Netfliz tras ser cancelada por la FOX.

Precisamente por este importante apoyo de los fans, "Lucifer" ser el No. 1 en el trending topic mundial el día de su cancelación en Mayo del 2018, por lo que la productora de la serie Warner Bros. TV la vendió a los servicios de streaming y a las cadenas de cable premium.

Con 77 episodios y un total de 5 temporadas, "Lucifer" es una de las series de Netflix más longevas.
