Imagen
https://twitter.com/RickCosnett/status/ ... 2903972864

When last we tuned into The CW’s The Flash, Barry Allen (played by Grant Gustin) had seemingly sent steely Savitar packing — only to then tumble into a near-future where the “speed god” brutally slays Iris (Candice Patton).

As such, “saving” Iris from that possible fate is foremost on Barry’s mind when Season 3 resumes this Tuesday at 8/7c. During the holiday break, I’ve teased you with bits and bites from co-showrunner Aaron Helbing; here now is our (mostly) complete midseason preview Q&A.

TVLINE | How worried should Iris West fans be?
You know, obviously, Barry loves Iris more than anything, and now that he has gotten a glimpse of the future, that’s kind of going to be the thrust of the back half of the season — Barry trying to do whatever it takes to save Iris. Kid Flash (Keiynan Lonsdale) is going to play a huge part in that. Cisco (Carlos Valdes) will play a huge part. Everybody will play a huge part in saving Iris, because she’s part of the team.

TVLINE | But didn’t Savitar get put back into that box, which was then stashed away in the Speed Force…?
Yes, the box was thrown into the Speed Force, but because Barry got thrust into the future and he saw Savitar, it’s going to be kind of that itch that he can’t scratch — like, how is this possible? That’ll help drive Barry through the rest of the season.

TVLINE | As far as Savitar’s three prophecies, was Iris the one that “fell”? Is Barry, watching her die, the one who has “a fate worse than death”? Or do we not necessarily check two of those off the list yet?
I don’t think I would check any of them off of the list because the future’s malleable. Anything can happen.

TVLINE | I didn’t notice this when Savitar first showed up until Danielle [Panabaker] pointed out to me, the fact that Barry saw Savitar, but in that moment, Joe didn’t. Will the “why” of that be addressed?
Yes, we’ll reveal the why of that, and it’s going to be a pretty big reveal. There’s a reason why Barry could see him [in that moment] and no one else could.

TVLINE | Great work on the Savitar CGI, by the way. That guy scares the s–t out of me.
Yeah, I mean, the VFX guys at Encore are the best in the business as far as I’m concerned.

TVLINE | Are we heading towards the return of happy-go-lucky Cisco, or is there still a bit more darkness lingering?
Cisco’s going to come up against a very strong adversary [the metahuman bounty hunter Gypsy, played by Sleepy Hollow alum Jessica Camacho], and she’s going to be someone that he just can’t stop thinking about.

TVLINE | Gypsy is a character from the comic books, yes? What’s her deal?
Well, she essentially can cross dimensions. She’s a much more advanced Vibe, I would say, and she is a badass. She doesn’t take any prisoners. She’s very good at her job, and she’s a very formidable adversary for the team.

TVLINE | I was glad to see Caitlin turn it into a “white Christmas” with a simple flick of her finger. Is that something she can do freely, or is there still the threat of consequences if she gets willy-nilly with her power?
Because it’s The Flash, there’s always going to be that threat there, and that’s going to be something that she’s wrestling with for the rest of the season. We have big plans for Caitlin, ones that I think are really exciting and really satisfying.

TVLINE | I said to Danielle that, in the vision Cisco vibed, we don’t know that Caitlin was being the adversary. Cisco could’ve been the bad guy and she was trying to thwart him. These are questions we have.
Anything is possible in our universe.

TVLINE | How would you describe the Barry/Julian dynamic moving forward? Will they be chums? Are they conflict-free?
I would say they’re conflict-free. The thing about Team Flash is they’re willing to always give people the benefit of the doubt, give people a second chance. They’re very big on people making amends for their past mistakes. I mean, we know Barry’s made a ton of past mistakes. Cisco’s made some mistakes. Caitlin’s made some mistakes. So I think Barry will take the same attitude towards Julian that he takes with any of this other friends. Julian was overtaken by Savitar — he wasn’t 100-percent here — but he feels culpable, so he wants to make amends.

TVLINE | Was it pure serendipity that Tom Felton was cast in a storyline that involved something called The Philosopher’s Stone?
Yes, 100-percent. We talked about it quite a bit, not expecting to get such an amazing actor like Tom Felton. I mean, it was just amazing. It’s like the stars aligned. We’re all huge Harry Potter fans, but that was just complete blind luck.

TVLINE | What sort of hurdles, if any, are in front of the officially christened Kid Flash? He’s got the skills. He’s got the suit. He’s got the desire.
He’s got the skills, but he’s got the hubris, too, that comes along with it. I mean, he was a drag racer in Season 2. He has that need for speed, so he goes a little half-cocked sometimes, and that gets him into danger. That will play out throughout the season, that he’ll have to realize that he’s got to check himself. There’s a reason why Barry has the attitude and the mentality that he has when he goes out there. He’s very methodical. He learned it from Oliver, and now he is try to impart that wisdom to Kid Flash.

TVLINE | A handful of people found it a bit jarring that Barry up and got himself and Iris a place to live. Are we to assume that they have been lovers for a period of time…?
You know, I think that’s open to anybody’s interpretation. I mean, [that closing scene] was a very romantic setting, a beautiful apartment and two people who love each other….

TVLINE | Right, but before I get my girlfriend and I a place to live, we have probably taken that step, you know? That’s why people are asking.
I mean, yeah, they’re two consenting adults who love each other. [A recent promo seems to clarify the intimacy issue.]

TVLINE | Speaking of romance, did I pick up on a vibe between Caitlin and Julian? Or is eggnog just eggnog?
I think they’re just friends for now. They’re two people who are struggling with what they’ve each had to go through this season, and they both understand each other’s plights, and so it’s just kind of perfect that they’ll come together as friends. Maybe they’ll go down that path, maybe not, but for now they share a common path that they want to try to help each other with.

TVLINE | Plus if I’m Caitlin, at this point, boy, I’m going to be really careful about my next boyfriend.
Yeah, definitely!

- The Flash: ¿Puede Barry salvar a Iris? (EW):
The Flash: ¿Puede Barry salvar a Iris?
Por Natalie Abrams 23 enero, 2017 at 2:56pm EST

Barry Allen has a new mission when The Flash returns.

After throwing the Philosopher’s Stone into the Speed Force, and effectively locking foe Savitar in eternity, Barry (Grant Gustin) was thrust five months into the future, where he watched the God of Motion kill Iris (Candice Patton). Can Barry prevent this future and the grim prophecy that comes along with it? EW turned to executive producer Aaron Helbing to get the scoop on what’s next:

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: What can you tease of Barry’s struggle to prevent this future and how it might make him spiral?
AARON HELBING: The reality is that Barry is going to do whatever it takes to prevent Savitar from killing Iris, so that single event is going to serve as the thrust for the rest of the season. It’s going to be an event that they’ll continue to revisit and try to learn as much as they can so that they can stop Savitar.

Will trying so hard to fix this cause a divide in his relationship with Iris?
No, it’ll bring them closer together.

Is it a coincidence that Barry landed in that particular time or is there more to it?
Nothing is a coincidence when it comes to Savitar. I mean, Savitar is the most formidable adversary that Barry and the team have come up against. They throw the Philosopher’s Stone into the Speed Force and he gets thrust to that specific time period for a reason.

By throwing the box with Savitar into the Speed Force, did Barry essentially make the future that Savitar said would happen come true? He literally trapped him in eternity!
That’s a good question. Honestly, we hadn’t thought of THAT.

So not something you’re going to address then?
No, not really.

How is Iris dealing with knowing she’s going to die?
In the beginning, when she first finds out, she’s devastated. She just moved in with Barry, she’s madly in love with him, she has all of these friends, she has a career that she wants to continue to build, so in the beginning, she’s devastated, but because she’s given a ticking time clock and she knows exactly when her expiration date is, so to speak, that emboldens her to go, “You know what? There’s a lot of things that I still want to accomplish. I know when I’m going to die, so I’m not going to die before then.” That’s going to cause her to put herself at risk further down the line in pursuit of her journalism.

How does Julian (Tom Felton) fit into the team moving forward?
He fits really well. The thing about the team is they’re always willing to give somebody a second chance. What they realize about Julian is he wasn’t actively being Alchemy, he was under Savitar’s control. So, because of that, they’re willing to give him a second chance. He’s going to provide a lot of clues and a lot of information for the team because he’s essentially an expert on Savitar and on the Philosopher’s Stone.

Isn’t it dangerous to open S.T.A.R. Labs as a museum while they’re running a superhero operation out of it?
That’s definitely a conversation that they have with HR (Tom Cavanagh). “This is crazy!” But as far as HR’s concerned, he’s trying to prove his worth to the team. He did it on Earth-19, so he thinks it’s going keep the attention away from The Flash. As you see with HR, he’s always very optimistic in things and he gives 110 percent, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that everybody is on board.

Can you talk about Wells facing the consequences of leaving his own Earth in an upcoming episode?
Honestly, it makes him realize that he’s part of a team. It really furthers his relationship with the rest of the team because of what they’re willing to do to make sure that he’s OK. HR has always been a do-it-yourself kind of guy when he was on Earth-19. He was always that guy, like it’s all about me. What he’s learning is that it’s valuable and helpful to have a team. He’s finally learning that he is part of a loving family.

What can you tease for Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) and how she’s handling her Killer Frost side moving forward? Is she getting more control of her powers or is it more of them controlling her?
Right now, it’s more of her getting control of her powers, but in the back of her mind, it’s always, “You’re going to become Killer Frost. At any moment, you could slip up and go to the dark side,” like she was in episode 7. That’s going to be a struggle that she’s going to deal with the rest of the season.

Everyone assumes that Caitlin’s gone dark in the vision of the future, but Cisco (Carlos Valdes) seems like he’s on the path to going dark as well. What can you tease for what’s next for him?
We’re going to see Cisco really realize what he can do. After seeing Gypsy (Jessica Camacho)— Gypsy is a very formidable adversary, and he never realized the extent of his powers, and because of seeing Gypsy, he’s going to become more and more in tune with his powers and what he can do, whether it’s crossing dimensions or opening breaches much faster and quicker. He’s going to be building confidence, and that’ll definitely play into the rest of the season of helping Barry and the team stop Savitar from killing Iris.

In terms of the upcoming musical crossover with Supergirl, is there anything you can tease of what it is that the Music Meister (Darren Criss) is after that he forces the heroes to break into song?
There’s nothing that I want to reveal at this moment. Our plan from the beginning has been to have both existing songs and original songs. We’re hoping to have that. I mean, we’re really proud of the episode, we’re very excited about the script. We’re swinging for the fences. I feel like we’ve been swinging for the fences every episode and I feel like we’re hitting it out of the park every time. We’re very proud of the episodes coming up.

Is there anything you can say about the returns of Robbie Amell and Rick Cosnett?
Not at this time.

Can the prophecy be stopped? Or will it come true no matter what, but who ends up being in each role is interchangeable?
The thing about Savitar is he’s a villain, and he’s going to say things that may or may not come true. It’s going to get the team thinking and looking at each other — Who is going to have a fate worse than death? Who is going to betray the team? — those are things that will be revealed. But in the beginning, you see Savitar, he’s evil, he’s going to say things to get under Barry’s skin and the team’s skin and try to stoke as much distrust as he can. We’re going to play with that first and eventually, we’ll deal with the prophecy.

With that in mind, can Iris be saved or is time owed a death either way?
It’s The Flash, so anything is possible.

- The Flash revela importantes spoilers via los títulares de noticias futuras (EW):
The Flash revela importantes spoilers via los títulares de noticias futuras
Por Natalie Abrams 24 enero 2017

Warning: This story contains major spoilers from the winter premiere of The Flash. Read at your own risk!

Barry Allen revealed the team’s grim future during the winter premiere of The Flash — and Iris isn’t the only one they need to worry about.

Struggling with the knowledge that Iris (Candice Patton) is fated to die in five month’s time, Barry (Grant Gustin) revealed what he saw in the future to the entire team — minus Joe (Jesse L. Martin). With the help of Cisco (Carlos Valdes), the duo vibe to the future to make a checklist of events in order to prevent Iris’ death, but what they learned unveiled a number of spoilers for what’s ahead. Here are the headlines:

- “Music Meister gets six-figure book deal.” We already knew that the DC Comics villain will be played by Darren Criss, but now we know he’ll survive his run-in with The Flash and the Girl of Steel (Melissa Benoist) in the show’s upcoming musical crossover with Supergirl.

- “Luigi’s opens after murder.” We don’t have much info on this one as of yet, but we’re guessing that the death at this pizza joint will be among the dominoes Barry and Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) try to change in hopes of preventing Iris’ death.

- “Joe West honored at City Hall.” Sorry, Joe: To prevent this headline, you may have to get your hands dirty instead of being lauded by Central City — and this item on the checklist will probably coincide with Joe finally discovering the truth that Savitar is fated to kill his daughter.

- “Killer Frost still at large.” Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) begged new Team Flash member Julian (Tom Felton) to help her get rid of her frosty powers, so if he can follow through, this headline may have a chance at changing. Maybe even to this…

- “S.T.A.R. Labs Museum closes.” Well, no one showed up to the opening of the museum, so this isn’t surprising. While Cisco was able to attract some patrons by hour’s end, Team Flash will have to find a new way to bring people in if they really want to prevent this. Maybe a special Flash section of the museum?

- “City still recovering following Gorilla attack.” It was recently revealed that The Flash has set a two-part Gorilla Grodd return — one episode taking place on this Earth, the other on Earth-2. Grodd is basically unstoppable, so this may be one item they’re not able to change.

The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.

A new villain is in town on “The Flash,” and she is taking no prisoners — OK she’s actually taking one prisoner specifically, but you get the drift.

Gypsy (Jessica Camacho) arrived on Earth-1 via a portal at the end of “The Flash’s” winter premiere, and she’s not there to visit as a tourist. She’s crossed dimensions to find and arrest H.R. (Tom Cavanagh), which is going to be a tough task when he’s got a small army of metas protecting him.

We spoke with Jessica Camacho about Gypsy’s action-packed episode, what has put her on the hunt, and what to expect from her fight to the death with Cisco (Carlos Valdes).

Tell us a little about the ‘Flash’ version of Gypsy.

Gypsy is extremely, extremely capable as a bounty hunter from Earth-19, which is the Earth that H.R. Wells is from. When we first meet her, she’s on the hunt, and she means business. This woman means absolute business.

We find out that she is hunting down H.R. Wells so that she can bring him back to stand trial for violating one of Earth-19’s most sacred laws, which is inter-dimensional travel. We find out why that’s such an important law on our Earth. She’s sent to bring him back so that he can strand trial, and she is just an absolute capable bounty hunter — undefeated, totally top of her game. When H.R. Wells sees her on his trail, he’s like, “Oh, OK. This is definitely serious.”

Gypsy seems like a fighter. How would you say she embodies a strong female character?

From the minute I read her, that’s the thing that jumped off the page to me is her absolute strength, her confidence. She knows what she’s doing and where she’s going at all moments. There is no hesitation about her, which I find so, so appealing.

I think there’s also this part of Gypsy, because her job leads her to follow these violators and criminals all over many Earths, and she’s always on the move, always on the hunt — it’s a lonely existence. I’ve found there’s this whole space in her that has yet to be kind of explored. Is there ever going to be someone that I connect to in that way? Is there ever going to be someone that stirs these things up inside of me that are just kind of waiting? I think that is another part of her that adds so much humanity. Yes, she’s strong. Yes, she’s bada** and capable. Yes, I love all of that. But she’s also vulnerable too, and I think that adds a lot of beautiful things to her being.

What can you tell us about Gypsy’s powers?

She definitely has powers, and we actually find out that on Earth-19, when people have this particular set of powers they are assigned to be the protectors of Earth 19. That’s something that we discover off the bat when she goes to find H.R. and she finds Cisco there. Cisco, in trying to protect H.R., vibes, and she’s like, “Oh, wait! Woah! What? You have these powers too?” From that moment he catches her curiosity and her interest … It’s an interesting chemistry from the get-go, once she realizes that her and Cisco have this shared ability. Yeah, she can vibe like an absolute bada**.

What is that dynamic between her and Cisco like?

I think there’s this curiosity that they have for one another. She first sees him and that he can vibe, and then she sees a little bit of his personality. Cisco is so many things at once. There’s so much humor in him and there’s so much smart in him, but there’s also this bravery that she sees.

She is not someone who is used to people standing up to her. Gypsy very much has a reputation that gets around — which is, you don’t mess with her. She means absolute business, so when Cisco is kind of stepping to her, she’s just like, “Oh really? You want to do this, huh?” And I think she’s game for it. I think she’s game to see what he brings to the table. I think she gets a kick out of the fact that he’s gutsy enough to put one foot in front of the other and step to her in that way.

Any other Team Flash members she goes up against?

She definitely interacts with other characters. Certainly off the bat, her main opponents will be H.R. and then Cisco, who will kind of take the brunt from H.R. … It’s this face off between Gypsy and Cisco.

Since Gypsy is a dimensional traveler, which multiverse show do you think she should appear on next?

I’m of the mindset that Gypsy belongs on all of them. I don’t know, I might be biased! I feel like she’d just kind of fit in right there, in all of those worlds. It would be amazing to see her pop up somewhere. That’s the cool thing about working in this world, is that you can pop up anywhere and it kind of makes sense. I really hope, fingers crossed, that that’s in Gypsy’s future.

“The Flash” airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.

HR Wells is in a world of trouble. In “Dead or Alive,” tonight’s episode of “The Flash,” a bounty hunter called Gypsy arrives in Central City to take him back to Earth-19 — but Team Flash isn’t going to let him go without a fight. In an effort to protect him, Cisco Ramon challenges Gypsy to a fight to the death, but he may just be out of his league; after all, Gypsy has the ability to vibe just like he does, but she’s far more adept at it than he is.

“Sleepy Hollow” star Jessica Camacho, who plays Gypsy, recently spoke with CBR about her upcoming role, including her character’s dynamic with Cisco, the “sacred” laws of Earth-19, Gypsy’s initial reaction to Team Flash and more. Additionally, Camacho teased her chances of returning to the show following her trial by combat with Cisco.

In the preview for next week’s episode, Gypsy looks and acts a little different than her comic book counterpart. Can you tell us about your take on the character?

Jessica Camacho: Well, I think it’s obvious from the first seconds of watching her that she is just a truly capable, committed, confident foe. I mean, I don’t know if she’s a foe, but — when we see her — she’s very much on a mission and she very much knows what she’s looking for, what she intends to do and what she is willing to do in order to make that mission a success. So she is just an absolute force, I would say.

Will we learn anything about her background in this upcoming episode?

So she’s from Earth-19, which is where HR is from. She is sent to collect him, so we find out that she’s a bounty hunter, and she’s an undefeated bounty hunter on a mission to bring HR Wells back to Earth-19 to stand trial for violating one of their most sacred, important laws, which is no one is allowed inter-dimensional travel. You find out reasons why this law is so sacred to them and their earth, but her mission is to find HR and bring him back so that he can stand trial. So that’s what she’s doing when we first meet her.

Does Gypsy have a pre-existing relationship with HR, or is this strictly an assignment for her?

Nope! This is an assignment. This is just another number for her. This is supposed to be just another case for her that’s supposed to be closed as instantly as it’s opened. I think that Gypsy is very, very used to getting assigned a criminal, tracking them down and bringing them back, and we see that from her record. When she walks into this situation and finds this team of people that have kind of banded behind and with HR, she’s like, “Wow, this is different! Okay!” She’s very much up for the challenge. It’s something different for her, but it’s something where she’s like, “Okay, cool, then you can all be my opposition. That’s fine.” And then we see that Cisco kind of steps in for HR, and she’s like, “Oh, hello. Who are you?” [laughs] There’s another interesting thing that takes off between Gypsy and Cisco.

What is Gypsy’s first impression of Earth-1’s Team Flash?

I think she’s… curious is not the word. She’s sees that they’re very much a cohesive team, that they very much have each other’s backs, even more so than just a functioning team, that they actually care about one another. She doesn’t expect that. I think she’s put off by that. I think she doesn’t understand why this group of people is willing to sacrifice so much for HR, who has become an essential part of their team. I think she didn’t expect to encounter that, that care that they have for one another and I think that’s something that she’s curious about and I think that’s something different for her.
Gypsy will interact with the other members of Team Flash, but Cisco will be her primary focus.

Since the news came out about Gypsy’s debut, Carlos Valdes and the executive producers have talked a little about her complicated relationship with Cisco. What can you tell us about their dynamic?

Well, when she first meets Cisco, he vibes in order to protect HR and so immediately there’s this connection between them. She’s like, “Oh, you can do this too, huh?” And so she’s curious about that and then it’s Cisco’s Cisco-ness that kind of makes her lift her eyebrows and say, “Well, who is this person?” He kind of flirts with her, and I don’t think that’s a very common occurrence, because she has a reputation of being this undefeated force that you don’t mess with. When he kind of stands up to her, but with humor, he does it in a way that is very innate to him. His weakness, his innocence, his goodness, and yet his bravery? I think she finds this mix very, very intriguing and yet she finds herself in this position of having to battle him to the death, which sucks. [laughs] But she’s there to do what she’s been sent there to do: to bring HR back at all costs. If anybody’s going to step in the way, it’s going to be a matter of life and death. So there’s this situation that they finds themselves in where they’re interested in each other, there’s this spark between them, there’s an undeniable bond that they’ve built from the get-go, and they find themselves on either side of the battlefield.

Aside from Cisco, does Gypsy have an interaction with any other member of Team Flash that you’re excited for fans to see?

I think Cisco kind of takes the center stage, just because he puts himself in that situation where it’s now, “Okay, you and I are facing off, so I’m going to focus on you, because you’re my opponent.” She is, from the sidelines, able to observe everybody else. I think, at this point, she’s kind of assessing who they all are in reference to one another, where they fit on this team and how she feels about all of them. Certainly in this episode, we’ll definitely see her and Cisco focusing on one another the most, but there are moments that she has with other characters where she kind of is taking them in, seeing what they’re all about and how she feels about them. She’s still trying to feel them out.

Gypsy and Cisco seem to have the same power set, but Gypsy is clearly far more advanced. Can you tease what we’ll see from her in this episode?

We’ll see Gypsy in her element. We’ll see Gypsy doing what she does on any day of the week when she goes up against somebody who doesn’t want to go with her willingly. We’ll see her very much exercising what she’s best at, but then we’ll see her encountering someone who has this potential. I think that that makes it very interesting, because of the same reasons that Gypsy connects to Cisco in terms of their chemistry. I think we’ll also see that displayed in the way that they fight, and I don’t think that she expects that. I think that she expected that this was going to be, “Okay, yeah, let’s get this over with,” but — when she goes into battle with him — they resonate. They kind of reflect one another. She doesn’t expect to find as capable an opponent as she does in Cisco.

Is there a chance we’ll see Gypsy again after this episode?

I feel like the chance is in the mutliverse, because of the nature of the multiverse and that characters can weave in and weave out and it still makes perfect sense. I think there’s still a chance. I hope there’s still a chance.

Wally West is giving Barry Allen a run for his money, as he’s poised to stake his own claim to the title of Fastest Man Alive.

When he was first introduced to the “Flash” audience, Wally got his speed fix by racing cars. It was eventually revealed that in the alternate Flashpoint timeline, Wally possesses super-speed and goes by the codename Kid Flash. However, it wasn’t until Wally touched Alchemy’s Philosopher’s Stone in “The Flash’s” main reality that he permanently gained super-powers. Since then, Wally has continually worked to be the same caliber of hero as Barry, but there have been plenty of speed bumps along the way — obstacles Keiynan Lonsdale was more than happy to discuss with CBR.

CBR: The last time we spoke, it was pre-Wally’s super-speed and Kid Flash. Back then, did the producers indicate Wally’s trajectory and that you would become a full-fledged member of Team Flash?

Keiynan Lonsdale: I knew that they had big plans. They had made me aware that they had an exciting future for Wally, so I assumed that meant Kid Flash and powers — but I didn’t expect it to happen so soon. As soon as I got the script for “Flashpoint,” I was completely taken aback, and surprised and excited. It was such a cool way to kick off the season for me. It sort of hinted at what Kid Flash would be.

Wally was a street racer at first, and was envious of Barry and Jesse’s powers. Dr. Alchemy was driving him crazy. Did that slow burn better prepare Wally to be a hero?

It’s important that any superhero is a hero and an advocate for people, with or without powers. That’s where Wally got to, which I thought was awesome. He was willing to risk himself. He was willing to go out and fight to protect other people, and to protect the city before he had super-speed. When you gain powers on top of that, it accentuates the character and who they already are. I was glad to see he already had a strong mindset.

What does it mean for Wally to be Kid Flash?

Wally finally has this full sense of himself. For anyone growing up, you’re trying to figure out your part and where you stand in the world. Wally has had such a confusing life, especially in recent times, where he doesn’t know his own self-identity. He’s always felt something was a little bit off. For him, he knew he was destined for something awesome, but his life didn’t feel that way. Becoming Kid Flash tells him, “Hey, you are a good guy and you are set to do some pretty cool things.”

In what ways is Wally different than Barry or Jesse?

It’s a similar thing when anyone gets these powers, similar to when Barry got them in the beginning. It’s such an exciting and adventuresome time. Wally has so much confidence and really exudes that. He is proud. Wally doesn’t want to hide these powers at all. He’s so into them. He likes the attention. Barry is a little more modest when it comes to that. Wally is down for it. If people want to chant his name or be his fans, he’s totally cool with that.

How did it feel, to finally don that iconic Kid Flash costume?

It was a funny moment. I sort of didn’t have any expression on my face at the time. Maya [Mani], who created the costume – and does the majority, if not all the superhero outfits – she was like, “Everyone has that same face when they realize that they a superhero.” I was like, “Really?” And she’s like, “Yeah.”

I think every kid imagines having powers. We see Superman or Batman and we go, “Whoa. Imagine if one day we could ever be like that.” It’s a strange moment, a surreal moment, when you look in the mirror and you are in this costume. It lifts your posture. You feel strong. You feel proud. It’s a cool thing.

Barry busted Wally’s chops a bit in “Borrowing Problems from the Future.” What’s that dynamic like moving forward?

They’ve been through so much that, for them, they do start to feel like family. Wally knows in the back of his mind that if Barry is upset with him, or angry with him, or hard on him, it’s for a reason. The stakes are high, so it’s a good reminder for Wally, especially when he’s part of this generation where fame can get the better of you. At the same time, Wally is old enough to start knowing himself and knowing his intentions, and also wanting people to believe in him and respect him. That can definitely produce clashes in the future. For the most part, they develop this pretty cool friendship.

“Untouchable” sounds like it takes Wally’s training to the next level. What’s his learning curve like?

As much as Wally is confident, he has a lot of doubts in his abilities. He admires Barry and the Flash so much. There’s a pressure there. He’s constantly feeling the pressure to be great and incredible – and very quickly. That’s tough. When Barry was becoming the Flash, it was just him. Everything was make it up as you go and improvising. Now they know there’s a clear formula. You have to train this way. These are the goals. It’s serious and he has to keep pushing through it.

Which aspect of super-speed would you like to see Wally master?

Time travel would be dope. That would be my choice. My favorite thing about anything science-fiction-related is the learning of new abilities, whether it’s phasing, time travel or the wind tunnels. It’s those moments I always look forward to. It’s an exciting development for any human, but also for the character to realize new abilities. Time travel would be the thing I would be most excited about.

Looking ahead, how much does Iris’ impending doom weigh on Wally’s mind?

An incredible amount. Wally only has Iris, Joe, Barry and the S.T.A.R. Labs team. He’s grown so close to this new family that it’s always such a shock and such a disappointment for him when they are constantly being threatened. With this, it’s not just another threat. It’s, “Well, this is the future, and this is what’s happening.” It’s constantly that thing of not knowing what you can do to help. Even though he now has these powers, can he help? That’s what is weighing on his mind right now.

Images of Wally, Barry and Jesse together have leaked. What can you say about having those speedsters team up?

When you add each one of us, there’s more and more energy, and more and more fun. It’s been so cool to just bounce off of each other. We have to remind ourselves that we are bringing these characters to life in live-action. We forget how exciting it is to so many people. As soon as we’re all in the suits together, it’s a cool moment. Fans will geek out a lot. I know we did.

How crucial is Wally in the upcoming war against Savitar?

He’s extremely crucial. Savitar is the biggest threat that any of them have faced. Fortunately, Barry doesn’t have to do this alone. He’s always had Team Flash. Other people are getting powers. It’s going to take everyone working together to stop him. Wally is super-crucial to that.

“Duet” is one part of the Flash/Supergirl musical crossover. Will viewers get to hear you belt out a tune?

No, I won’t be singing in the musical episode. I would have loved to sing in it, but, Wally has a lot to deal with at the same time. You’ll still see him around. The episode is going to be a lot of fun. I just read it recently. The fans will really enjoy it.

What else can you tease about Wally’s arc this season?

What I can say is since coming back from the Christmas break, it’s been an incredibly emotional ride. I’ve gotten to do some really challenging things for myself as an actor, which has been the best part of it. That obviously means that Wally has a lot to deal with going forward, more so than he’s ever had to deal with in his

H.R. Wells is in big, inter-dimensional trouble on Tuesday's episode of "The Flash."

Earth 19 bounty hunter Gypsy, played by guest star Jessica Camacho, is heading to S.T.A.R. Labs on a mission to capture him and bring him home to face justice.

"She's very much come to Earth 1 with the knowledge that she will find H.R. and she will bring him back and he needs to stand trial on our Earth in order to face up to breaking one of our most important laws, which is we do not allow inter-dimensional travel," Jessica told AccessHollywood.com. "And so you kind of find out why that is and why it's so necessary he come back to our Earth and stand trial. And her mission is just very much about making that happen no matter what."

That mission will put her on a collision course with the gang at S.T.A.R. Labs, who will defend their new friend.

"I think when she comes in, she's like, 'Oh great, there's my target. Bam!' And she just goes for him because that's very much how she functions," Jessica said. "Gypsy is a bounty hunter at the top of her game, she's undefeated, she's the best of the best, so when she's on a mission, it's very easy for her to kind of blur everything else outside of her target. But, when she encounters Team Flash, they very much move as a cohesive group. … She kind of encounters this cohesive resistance. She's like, 'Oh, so you all want to be my problem now? OK, I see how it is.' And I think she's kind of struck by that. She's struck by how they all stand up for H.R. so quickly and how they refuse to kind of back down as a team."

Cisco Ramon/Vibe (Carlos Valdes) – as the trailer reveals – will stand up in battle, even after he learns a battle with an Earth 19 bounty hunter require a battle to the death.

"I think that when Cisco initially feels the impulse to stand up for H.R. and to volunteer himself, I don't quite think he understands that and so she's like, 'Cool, let me spell it out for you. Let me let you know what exactly you're volunteering for,' and he finds out that it's a battle to the death," she said.

Jessica said seeing someone with Gypsy's same powers who is so willing to "put himself on the line" for H.R., intrigues her character.

"She finds herself kind of being so curious about this person, so interested in them and then having to stand opposite them on the battlefield and entering into a battle where it is life or death. So in that regard, it's a big deal," she added.

There are rumors that Gypsy and Vibe will eventually end up as a couple on The Flash, so it's probably no surprise to anyone that when Jessica Camacho brings Cindy Reynolds (Gypsy) to the series for the first time tonight, her first order of business will be to kill him.

Camacho, for her part, told ComicBook.com that coming onto an established show and trying to create a love interest for a popular character can be a little daunting -- even without the murdery parts.

“You know, there’s always a little nervousness surrounding that because you don’t know if you’re going to connect to the character or the actor in that way, and it can make for a very awkward conversation," Camacho told ComicBook.com. "My method is just to kind of feel it out. I knew after reading the script and understanding what Gypsy wants what makes her tick and I was able to gauge when she met Cisco what she found interesting about him, what she found endearing, what made her cock her head to the side and take another look at him. With Cisco, there’s so much there to be interested in and so much there to be intrigued by that it was really easy to play with all of that.”

Camacho explained that she hadn't watched the show before she landed the audition, so after cramming two seasons in preparation for the part, she's presumably as big a Cisco fan as everybody else is now.

“The thing that makes all of these characters interesting and that allows people to connect to them is their humanity,” Camacho said. “So instead of starting with ‘Oh my God, they’re from a different universe? Do they act differently? Do they talk differently?’ No, it’s like you start with what do they want? Who are they? What are they looking for? What’s important to them? What are their abilities? What do they want? What drives them? You connect to the things that as a human you resonate with. That’s what makes a show like The Flash interesting: if they were just super far out with their personalities and the things that drove them were so far out it seemed like they were from another universe, it would be hard to follow. But what makes it relatable is that they’re from a universe and they’re up against all these crazy unimaginable foes, but what drives them is their humanity.”

Viewers of The Flash were served up a little treat last week as they were introduced to Cynthia "Cindy" Reynolds, perhaps better known as the metahuman Gypsy, in the show's waning moments.

We don't have too many details about Gypsy's upcoming appearance on The Flash other than the fact that she hails from Earth-19 and can travel across dimensions. We also know that being a metahuman is a dream come true, at least according to Jessica Camacho, the actress who portrays Reynolds/Gypsy in the Arrowverse. Not only that, Camacho seems to be a big fan of Gypsy's costume on The Flash as well.

"Yeah, man, let me tell you it holds you back from reaching for that cupcake at lunch," Camacho joked with Comicbook.com. "You're like 'Maybe I'll just have a couple of almonds instead.' I was so excited! I can't think of very many more exciting experiences as an actor. For me, putting on a superhero suit, being a metahuman, is a dream come true."

While Gypsy was only seen briefly at the end of last week's episode in apparent pursuit of Harrison Wells, tonight's episode is set to explore Gypsy more in-depth and see her in action in her full outfit.

"When I saw her badassery and her jacket and I suited up for the first time and saw what Gypsy looked like, it was a whole other level of joy and excitement and I just wanted to bring life to that," Camacho said. "I was completely enthralled by it. I will say, a corset may or may not be involved with the jacket, but it’s worth it!”

The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT, followed by DC's Legends of Tomorrow at 9 p.m.

While we finally get an extended look at actress Jessica Camacho’s Gypsy tonight on The Flash, she may not be the only person we see from Earth-19 appearing on the show.

In an interview with Comicbook.com, Camacho said that while Gypsy isn’t the only collector from Earth-19, she’s the best at what she does.

“On Earth-19, people who have my particular set of responsibilities are assigned to jobs like mine, defending our Earth,” Camacho told Comicbook.com. “She’s not the only, but she’s the best.”

Team Flash discovering their cross-dimensional capabilities by discovering Earth-2 in the second season opened up a whole new slew of opportunities to add additional characters into the Arrowverse.

In addition to Gypsy, or Cynthia “Cindy” Reynolds as her legal name reflects, the current version of Harrison Wells also hails from Earth-19.

With Camacho’s revelation about not being the only collector from Earth-19, what other characters do you think we could see make their way to Earth-1? Let us know in the comments below.

You know that feeling when you're reading a new comic book or watching a new TV show for the first time, and you're introduced to a cool new character that you can imagine yourself following for years?

That's what happened to Jessica Camacho when she read the script for tonight's episode of The Flash, in which she stars as Cindy Reynolds, the metahuman better known as Gypsy.

“I got the audition and looked over the materials and instantly felt drawn to Gypsy — who I don’t think I knew was going to be called Gypsy,” Camacho told ComicBook.com. “I didn’t know certainly as much about her as I do now. I think there’s a certain level of secrecy that they need to have but I was really drawn to her and I was really excited to audition. Auditions can be nerve-wracking, but I was so interested in playing her that I told myself, even if the only time I get to play her is in the audition room, I want to have fun with it. I was just really genuinely excited and I went in there and just had fun and it just felt right from the get-go.”

Of course, it was more than just the actual name of the character she would be playing that was a bit of a surprise to Camacho; as somebody who had only a passing knowledge of comics, she took it upon herself to study up on the character.

“I didn’t know that Gypsy had history,” she continued.“I didn’t know about any of this stuff. The fans kind of guided me to her history and stuff. The DC world is so expansive and has so many amazing characters, and this was my first foray into the comics world. I started looking into Gypsy, Cindy Reynolds, Justice League Detroit, and looking into that world and their backstories, and it was just so cool to me. I feel like there are endless possibilities for their storylines and endless possibilities for where they might go after having learned about the crazy, insane, vast world of DC Comics.”
