- ¡Erica Durance y su marido esperan su segundo hijo en común!:

La noticia nos llegaba justo después de que la actriz compartiera con sus fans a través de su cuenta de twitter una nueva sesión fotográfica en la que aparece con un nuevo look.

Erica Durance está de nuevo embarazada y espera su segundo hijo en común, del que se sabe que será niño, con David Palffy.

La pareja ya son padres de otro niño de 16 meses llamado Lochlan, y del hijo del anterior matrimonio de Palffy, Lazslo, de 16 años, y al que Erica adora y sobre el que siempre se ha referido como su hijo.

Smallville fans of the UK, listen up - Lois Lane herself, Erica Durance, wants to star in a UK show, so start the campaign now.

We had a chat with Erica about her current show Saving Hope, and she told us about her love of all televisual things British.

"It's my dream [to star in a UK show]," she told Digital Spy. "I live in BBC land! That's what I Netflix and watch all the time.

"Those are the kind of shows I want to be part of. I just finished The River, which was fantastic, and Happy Valley, and Scott & Bailey. They have just such good storytelling.

"As much as I've been part of big sci-fi and SFX dramas, I also just like a simple story that is told well, and in the UK I feel like they do that like no other place.

"And I'm not just saying that because you're from there, I have my whole life loved Jane Austen and all the incarnations of Pride and Prejudice, so I've always kinda lived in that world. If I ever had the chance to be part of something like that, I could almost hang up my hat and say, 'I did it!'"

So there you have it. If the third season of Happy Valley stars a certain Canadian actress, we'd like to think it was down to us.

Meanwhile, Erica teased what to expect with the upcoming fifth season of Saving Hope, so spoilers ahead, saying: "We're trying to go a little bit darker with it, we're trying to really challenge the Alex and Charlie relationship given what they have to deal with.

"There are some tough times ahead for both of them and being able to go between the two different worlds for Charlie definitely has a devastating effect for him at some point."

Actor Erica Durance is mom to David, 17, Lochlan, 18 months, and number three (also a boy) is due this December. She and husband David divide their time between Vancouver and Toronto, where her hit show Saving Hope just finished shooting its fifth season (airing on CTV in 2017).

"I think it’s important for any woman who is working while pregnant or being a mother to maintain a strong support system with your partner, which I am very fortunate to have in my husband. His support allows me to work as both an actress and a mother. With every child we are evolving as people and as parents. It’s fascinating to me and actually makes me better at my job.

When I’m shooting, Lochlan comes to Toronto with me, but David stays in Vancouver for school. So it’s a bit tough. We’re constantly communicating how we’re feeling about things. You give independence to your kids, they try some things, some things work, some things you need to adjust. It’s natural progression as a teenager that you want to spread your wings and you realize that your parents DO have other things in their lives. I’ve seen kids who are stressed because their parents DON’T have anything else in their lives other than the kids.

One of the biggest struggles with this job is that I wear a lot of hats. If I’m not filming I’m in the writing room, if I’m not writing I’m talking to the other producers. I’ve also started directing. On average my days are 12 to 14 hours. I may have a couple of days off a week so I try to spend time with my son and also take those moments for myself, instead of trying to be everything to everyone. I take a walk or go for a run on the treadmill. It helps me be a happier, more patient mother."

Erica y su marido David Palffy acaban de confirmar a ericadurancetv que le han dado la bienvenida a su tercer hijo, Liam Jeffrey Palffy el pasado Miércoles 07 de Diciembre en Vancouver, BC.

Como recordaréis, Erica and David son padres de otros dos hijos: David, de 17 años de edad e hijo del anterior matrimonio de Palffy, y Lochlan, de 22 meses.

La alumna de "Smallville" Erica Durance está previsto que se una a la serie de la CW "Supergirl" en su tercera temporada en un papel recurrente. Se hará cargo del papel de Laura Benanti de 'Alura', que había interpretado al personaje desde el piloto.

“Desafortunadamente Laura, con quien Greg y yo hemos trabajado desde hace años desde Eli Stone, fue incapaz de continuar en el papel debido a compromisos de trabajo en NY,” dice el productor ejecutivo Andrew Kreisberg. “Pero también estamos muy bendecidos con que Erica se haya subido a bordo para ofrecer su propia interpretación de la madre de Kara. Tuvimos un tremendo éxito con una antigua Lois Lane la pasada temporada con Teri Hatcher. Lo siento, nunca entenderé esa mania de contratar a actores que han participado en versiones anteriores a este tipo de series porque cuando los veo en pantalla, me viene a la memoria el papel que interpretaron en aquellas series y no me creo el que están interpretando en estas.

Cuando veo Dean Cain haciendo de padrastro de Kara, me parece estar viendo al Clark Kent de "las aventuras de Lois y Clark" y lo mismo me paso con Teri Hatcher, que por cierto hizo una malísima interpretación en Supergirl, yo no se que le pasaba pero la veía sobreactuada y me extraño porque ella es una gran actriz.

"Supergirl" ha experimentado algunos sorprendentes cambios de elenco durante el verano, y parece que se ha añadido una nueva capa a la dinámica tanto en pantalla como fuera de ella.

En una entrevista reciente con Entertainment Weekly, la estrella de la serie Melissa Benoist habló sobre la llegada de Erica Durance de Smallville, quien ocupa el papel de 'Alura' tras la marcha de Laura Benanti:

"Es diferente. Amé a Laura Benanti, pero Erica aporta algo realmente divertido", explica Benoist.

"Oh ella es maravillosa. Estamos realmente emocionados por tenerla", comenta el productor ejecutivo Robert Rovner. Es genial. Ella es una de los actores del legado. Estuvo en Smallville como Lois Lane. Siempre nos encanta el traer a gente que ha sido parte del Universo DC en diferentes papeles, así es que ha sido genial el tenerla de nuevo en la familia DC. Nos apenamos de que Laura Benanti no pudiera continuar, y la adoramos en su papel de Alura, pero es genial el tener a Erica metiéndose en el papel. Los orígenes de Kara y sus padres y esa pérdida es muy central a su personaje, así es que pensamos que era importante que continuáramos teniendo esa presencia en su vida en la Tierra".

ED: I have worked with Melissa, loved it, she was what you would expect. Down to earth and incredibly generous. As for Alura's future. We will be seeing more of her in new and very creative ways...

Sam Hudson: Did you ever foresee a moment where you would become another character in the "Super" world, much like many actors became new characters on Smallville?
ED: No I didn't, but it seemed like it would be fun, and I looked forward to working with dear friends.....SUZANNE

Carey Johnson: Erica, you're coming into an established show, Supergirl, much like you did with Smallville. How do you navigate being the new kid on the block, compared to being the lead, like on Saving Hope?
ED: Good question. After 5 years as a lead i needed a break, so this is lovely to come in, do my work and then take off home to my babies.

Nathan Sponenberg: Are there particular versions of Lois that you looked to for inspiration when playing the character? To me, you're the perfect live action version of the Animated Series Lois.
ED: Thanks, to be honest, when I started on Smallville, it was fast and furious, so not a lot of time for research. But loved Margot Kidder.

Eric Johnston: How many episodes have you filmed so far?
ED: About 5 so far but its been great

Giovanni Mark Mane: In general who is better Lois Lane or Iris West?
ED: Why do they have to compete?

Chantël Rodriguez: How does it feel to be apart of the supergirl cast?
ED: Everyone has been very welcoming. Fun to be apart of this universe again.

- "The Christmas Chalet" & "A Christmas Melody", nuevas películas para Erica Durance:

Erica Durance regresará a la pequeña pantalla con dos nuevas película navideñas.

La primera se titula "The Christmas Chalet", está escrita por Mark Prey, Rickie Castaneda & Jennifer Gibson, y protagonizada por Erica Durance y Robin Dunne.

La sinopsis oficial es la siguiente:

Grace, una amante de la Navidad y divorciada reserva un viaje a una cabaña con su madre y su hija. Sin embargo, la misma cabaña es reservada por un escritor soltero que odia la Navidad. Juntos descubren la magia de la Navidad y la familia..

"The Christmas Chalet" se estrenará en Diciembre del 2019.


La segunda, es una película para Lifetime titulada "A Christmas Melody", protagonizada por Erica Durance y
J.T. Hodges.

La sinopsis oficial es la siguiente:

Cuando Layla (Durance), una artista aspirante de R&B cruza su camino con un escritor de canciones amateur, Spence (Hodges), piensa que ha encontrado su oportunidad para finalmente conseguir grabar un disco.
